Usage Rates

Being a member of Streetcar allows you access to our whole network of cars as well as our new vans. To keep it simple the only difference between our cars and vans is a difference in the time charges.

VW Golfs

1 hour: £5.95
24 hours: £49.50
5 days (Monday to Friday) : £150
7 days : £195
30 days : £695

Streetcar bookings are charged in 30 minute units. Minimum booking is 30 minutes. Time charges are capped at £49.50 for any 24 hour period. The 5 day Monday - Friday rate is not available for 5 day periods which include either a Saturday or Sunday.

VW Polo BMs

As an introductory offer, the Polo BlueMotions will be charged at the following rates:

1 hour : £3.95
24 hours: £39.50
5 days (Monday to Friday) : £125
7 days : £165
30 days : £635

As with the Golfs above, capped rates apply for longer bookings.

VW Vans

1 hour : £8.95
24 hours : £69.50
5 days (Monday to Friday) : £220
7 days : £300

As with the Golfs above, capped rates apply for longer bookings.

30 miles’ free petrol

Streetcar gives you 30 miles worth of free petrol per calendar day. After that, mileage and petrol combined is charged at 23p per mile. That way, you don’t have to worry about only putting in as much petrol as you need, instead you just fill up and use the Streetcar fuel card to pay the cashier. At the end of your trip, the car’s computer will work out your petrol miles and we simply charge you for the amount you use. If you book a car for 24 hours and it goes across 2 days, we’ll give you 60 miles worth of free petrol.

No mileage cap

Unlike some car rental companies, Streetcar has no limit on how far you can drive in the car, so you won’t be restricted if you want to drive anywhere in the UK (or abroad!)
