Does it matter if I pick the car up late?
No, you can pick it up at any time during the period you have booked.
How will I find the car?
There are detailed maps and photographs of the locations on the website. You'll
also receive some directions with your booking confirmation.
How do I unlock the car?
By holding your Streetcar smartcard against the card reader unit on the windscreen.
Can I get into the car without my Streetcard?
Yes, in some circumstances. Please call us on 0845 644 8475 and we'll talk you through
it.
Where are the car keys?
In the glove box. They're no use to thieves because the car is securely immobilised
until you enter your personal PIN number.
Can I use someone else's Streetcard to access the car?
No. The car will only accept the Streetcard of the person in whose name the booking
was made.
What if I forget my PIN?
Contact us on 0845 644 8475 and if we are able to successfully identify you, we
will give it to you over the phone.

Driving
How can I contact Streetcar during my journey?
Just press the yellow Call Streetcar button on the radio unit and you will be put
straight through to the Streetcar Service Centre which is open from 0700 to 2200
every day.
Can I take a Streetcar abroad?
Yes, but please inform us when you make the booking so we can extend the insurance
cover. You will be charged around £35.00 for this, subject to duration and
country of destination of your trip.

Locking the car
Do I always use my Streetcard to lock and unlock the car?
No. During your trip, you just use the keys in the ordinary way. You only use your
Streetcard at the very beginning and very end of the trip.

Returning the Car
Can I return the car early?
Yes, however you will still be charged for the entire period of your booking, since
we charge for the time when the car was not available for anyone else to book it.

Late Returns
Will I be liable for a late fee if the car breaks down?
No.
What if the car I've booked is returned late by the previous driver?
If the previous driver notifies us that the car is going to be returned late, you
will receive £20 compensation from that driver's penalty charge. If that driver
does not notify us, you will receive £40 compensation. In all instances, we will
attempt to find you another Streetcar nearby so you can start your journey on time
or, failing this, arrange alternative transport for you.
